In June 2025, the commissioning phase of the Lefort Coloss 1000 shear was completed. With a total investment of €1.7 million and after a two-year wait, the aim is to process a larger volume of scrap metal more efficiently and with full respect for the environment. Equipped with the latest technology from the Belgian manufacturer Lefort, the shear can process 25-35 tons of scrap metal and handle many materials that were not previously processed at Hierros y Metales Sainz. We thank the teams at Lefort and Hirukei Maquinaria Bizkaia, S.L.U. for their commitment, dedication, and effort in bringing this project to fruition.
